More than one-third, 34%, of advertising and marketing executives plan to increase staffing levels within the next year. 55% plan to make no change and 10% plan to decrease staffing levels at their firm.
In a survey conducted by the Creative Group, 52% of those advertising and marketing execs plan to increase staffing in Web design or production, 50% plan to increase in creative or art direction roles, and 48% intend to add in the interactive and account services areas. Other areas with expected hiring include brand/product management (35%), marketing research (32%), copywriting (26%), print design/production (25%), and PR (23%).
