** Etudes NG Workshop **

If you are new to taking online classes at Foothill or using the ETUDES NG
software that is used for many online classes and you are able to come to
campus on Wednesday, April 11, at noon, I encourage you to attend a free
orientation session presented by the distance learning department.

Introduction to ETUDES NG and Online Learning

Topics that will be covered include the following:

Hour 1 (12-1 pm):
* What is ETUDES NG?
* Computer and Web browser requirements
* How to log in and get set up
* Navigating the course Web site
* Foothill College details (SSN, SID, PIN, and e-mail address)
* Getting Help

Hour 2 (1-2 pm):
* Viewing lectures
* Completing assignments
* Participating in class discussions
* Taking tests and quizzes

If you are taking COIN 70a Intro to Programming using JavaScript this Spring, take the workshop as that class uses NG. COIN 61 and COIN 63 do NOT use NG at this time,

Spring Quarter registration starts soon. Be sure to register early for best course selection and promptly pay your fees. Spring Quarter classes begin April 9 and run through June 29, unless otherwise noted in the Schedule of Classes. ** Krypton Problems FIXED **

The CTIS Krypton server, as well as the associated file servers, do not appear to be responding this morning. The system admin has been notified and I hope service will resume shortly are now fixed.
