Annual Student-Directed One-Act Play Festival on Stage
Students enrolled in the Foothill Theatre Conservatory Program will present History in the Faking, six one-act vignettes satirizing historical icons, April 10–19 in the Lohman Theatre at Foothill College. Evening performances are April 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 at 8 p.m. A matinee is set for Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. The Foothill Theatre Conservatory is an intensive theatre-training program for serious students of college-age and older. The production's six acts include Degas C'est Moi; Words, Words, Words; Variations on the Death of Trotsky; The Dark Lady of the Sonnets; Chamber Music; and Do Not Collect $200. Foothill Music Theatre Sets Auditions for The Producers
Award-winning Foothill Music Theatre (FMT) announces auditions for its summer production of Mel Brooks’ The Producers. Auditions are Sunday, March 15, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Lohman Theatre at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. Performers need only attend one audition session. Strong singers, dancers and actors are needed for the large cast. An appointment is not necessary. Performers should prepare an up-tempo or Broadway ballad, and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Songs from the show are acceptable. Auditioners should also dress for dance. Callbacks are March 21–23. Rehearsal begins June 1. Performances run from July 24 through Aug. 16. Winner of more Tony Awards than any other musical in theatre history, FMT’s production of The Producers will be directed by Jay Manley, with musical direction by Catherine Snider a nd choreography by Dottie Lester-White. Visitors must purchase a parking permit for $2 from dispenser in parking lot. Performers who are cast in the show will receive a free parking permit for the duration of the production. Birth Control Options
Women and men can learn about the variety of birth control options available from the on-campus Health Services Office Tuesday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Campus Center Plaza. Different kinds of birth control options will be displayed and clinicians will be available to answer your questions. Free Chlamydia testing will also be offered. Winter Quarter Final Exams Are March 24–27
