A Day on the Hill--A High-School Senior Conference--

Students from Public, Private, Religious & Home Schools Are Invited

High school seniors are invited to attend Foothill’s Day on the Hill, a free one-day conference designed especially for seniors Wednesday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. The event begins at 9 a.m. in the college’s Smithwick Theatre. Students from public, private, religious and home schools are invited to attend.

In addition to complimentary lunch, raffle prizes, guest speakers and information sessions, Foothill’s Day on the Hill is your opportunity to meet faculty, talk with fellow students, learn more about career programs, find out about university-transfer options and much more.

If you are in COIN 70a JavaScript, you have a quiz this weekend. Sometime between 8:00 am today and 10:00 pm Saturday, log on to Etudes NG and choose Test Center. If you've never taken a quiz in Etudes NG before, review in the Modules > Student User Guide 1.3 Taking Tests or click the My Workspace tab and then choose Learn how to take tests in the system (on the right under Tips and Information).

** SPRING ELECTION TIME IS NEAR! **

Elections for Associated Students of Foothill College (ASFC) officers
as well as the Foothill College student trustee to the Foothill-De
Anza Community College District are approaching. If you're interested
in advocating for students, developing leadership skills and
participating in the governance of Foothill College, consider running
for a 2008-2009 elected office. All officer and trustee positions are
up for election.

The extended deadline to apply for election is Wednesday, April 30,
at noon. Submit required application materials to the Student

Matt Flannery, co-founder of Kiva.org, will discuss the innovative methods his organization has developed to assist people around the world as they work to end poverty in developing countries through micro credit loans. Meets in Smithwick Theatre. Co-sponsored by the Foothill Micro Credit Club.

Kiva allows you to loan money directly to people in the developing world--helping them break out of poverty. They have been featured on Oprah and praised by Bill Clinton.
