As you know, California's community colleges are facing the largest cuts in the system's history, and YOU, my students, are facing the complete elimination of the Cal Grant financial aid program.
Today, Chancellor Jack Scott will be testifying before the Budget Conference Committee on the impact of budget cuts on California's community colleges. Supporting him will be hundreds of students, faculty and staff from our colleges.

While we won't eliminate all of the cuts, it is important that we draw attention to the disproportionate cuts to community colleges and what that means to our colleges."
